Pledgeing Circularity

descatuk- Dev Ethical Sustainable Crafts and Textiles - recognize fashion is a significant contributor to climate change, toxic waterways and ocean pollutants, land use, and more. We know that the culture of low-cost, short-lasting clothing is contributing to tremendous waste all along the supply chain – and in consumers’ closets.

We are committed to inculcate best practices on the circularity in genes of descatuk in 2020 to lead the industry toward a more circular model. We are collectively committing to 2020 Circular Fashion Pledge for addressing the U.N. Sustainable Develop Goal (SDG) 12.5, to substantially reduce waste generation by 2030.

descatuk is committed to

1. INCREASE RECYCLED CONTENT:

We are committed to increasing 10% more share of recycled hand handloom and knitted fabrics crafted from GRS certified #recycled cotton PET/CO yarn made from PET bottle and garment waste by the end of 2020.

Our commitment will increase demand for recycled market and reduce #landfills and saving equivalent water and reduction in #carbonemission

2. ENABLE TAKE-BACK OR RESALE

By the end of 2020, we launch at least one method or partnership to enable our customers to send-back or resell their used items.

Together, we are the path toward a cleaner, more dynamic, creative, and quality-driven fashion industry.
