DESCAT UK is collaborating with Catalyst 2030 - an inclusive network of social entrepreneurs from Ashoka, Echoing Green, Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, Skoll Foundation, and other global networks of social entrepreneurs and social innovators to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by fashion good for people and the planet.
Pre-COVID it was predicted that the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) would not be achieved until 2094. COVID-19 makes even this projection sound optimistic.
Key challenges summarised by the Catalyst 2030 team are:

Catalyst 2030 has a shared vision of DESCAT UK to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 through an unprecedented mobilization of social entrepreneurs, partners, and resources by collaboration.
Nine working groups are engaged in creating collaborating in seven areas of training, youth and education, care, funding, and covid support by a young and energetic task force mentored by the experienced professionals.
Under the umbrella of Catalyst 2030, DESCAT UK is actively participating in the working groups of Covod 19 Response, Enabling Collaboration corners, Shifting the Funding paradigm to achieve our mission of "Supporting Livelihood to Local people using Locally available resources and Skills"
The designer team at DESCAT UK has inspired Hand Knit Portfolio for skilling and supporting pandemic affected artisans and migrant communities in Uttarakhand. Artisan of SEWA International in Garhwal region and Navchetna Society in Kumaon regions are the beneficiary of the initiative Uttarakhand.
The circularity pledge of DECAT UK boosted by the industry partner for the project Birla Cellulose for Cocreating the collection with Liva Reviva, USHA Industries for creating GRS certified PC yarn collection of Fashion accessories, and Recycled woolen yarn from Yorkshire England by Iinouio
DESCATUK is a member of the Industree Foundation Reagenearth program for collaborating and supporting social entrepreneurs globally to make a better life for the artisan community.
